WoW Classic Leveling: 8 Tips to Reach 60 Faster
Reaching level 60 in WoW Classic takes time, but a lot of that time is lost to pointless travel and hesitation. Here are 8 habits that really make a difference.
1. Grab every quest in a zone before heading out
Before leaving a town, pick up every available quest. You'll do them together instead of making several round trips.
2. Finish a zone before moving on
Constantly switching zones costs a lot of travel time. Chain the quests in one region, then move forward.
3. Use rested XP
Log out in an inn or a capital city: you build up rested XP, which doubles the experience you earn from monsters in your next session.
4. Don't skip dungeon quests
Dungeon quests give a lot of experience and often a good item. Grab them all before going in: there's nothing worse than discovering a quest after the run.
5. Visit your class trainer every two levels
New spell ranks boost your damage and survival. Combine trainer visits with your trips back to town.
6. Pick leveling talents
While leveling, favor talents that increase your damage and cut your downtime. You can respec at max level.
7. Upgrade your weapon first
For most classes, your weapon is the item that changes your leveling speed the most. Keep an eye on the auction house and quest rewards.
8. Avoid dying
Every death costs a corpse run and repairs. In Hardcore, it costs your character. Watch for patrols and never pull more monsters than you can handle.
The shortcut: an in-game guide
Most of these tips come down to one thing: knowing in advance where to go and what to do. That's what SwifftXP does. It's an addon that shows your questing route in game with an arrow, the dungeon quests to grab, talent suggestions and your BiS gear. Available for WoW Forever, Classic Era, Hardcore, Season of Discovery and TBC Anniversary.
